SPIRE MOTORSPORTS — #7 and #77 RACE-WINNING NASCAR CUP SERIES TEAM
ABOUT SPIRE MOTORSPORTS
Based in Concord, North Carolina, Spire Motorsports fields the No. 7 and No. 77 entries in the NASCAR Cup Series and focuses on growth, development, and performance.
Spire Motorsports was established in 2018 and is co-owned by longtime industry executives Jeff Dickerson and Thaddeus "T.J." Puchyr. In just the team's first season, Spire Motorsports earned an upset victory for the ages when Justin Haley took the checkered flag in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.
Corey LaJoie is a third-generation racer whose father and grandfather are members of the New England Auto Racing Hall of Fame. He joined Spire Motorsports in 2021 as the driver of the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro.
LaJoie won his way to the NASCAR Cup Series ranks through top developmental series like the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (six victories) and the ARCA Menards Series (three wins). Brief stops in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (two top 10s) and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (one top 10) propelled LaJoie into the NASCAR Cup Series full time. His father, Randy LaJoie, is a two-time (1996 & 1997) NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion.
